Writing Tip Wednesday: Agent Sara Megibow’s Tips On The Emotionally Healthy Publishing Career

I subscribe to Janis Hardy’s blog and today I received a wonderful post that I want to share with you all (talk about perfect timing.)

Agent Sarah Megibow from Nelson Literary agency (and who just so happens to be one of the agents I will be querying in a couple of months when my manuscript is ready) wrote a guest post titled ‘The Emotionally Healthy Publishing Career.’

It is very much worth the read if you want to know what she tells her new authors when explaining the processes and expectations of publishing.

One thing I learnt that I didn’t know is that it can take 2-6 months for contract negations after a verbal agreement from a publisher. I guess I thought it would be a whole lot faster.

There are three great tips so be sure to check them out.
