A Writerly Update 33.

Hi everyone, and welcome to this week’s writerly update.

This week my main focus was polishing a flash fiction piece I had been working on so I could send it to the comp I wanted to enter. Polished and sent. Fingers crossed.

One of my goals this week was to outline ten chapters of Rift, my YA sci-fi. I only managed 4. I have completed a rewrite of it and am now doing an outline of each chapter to make sure the plot flows as it should. It still needs a lot of work, but I am very happy with the plot so far. One chapter had me laughing out loud, which was good because it was suppose to be funny!

I also added 550 words to The Girl In The Mirror. I am truly loving writing this one, the ideas are just flowing. I may have only written 550 more words of it, but I came up with enough plot points for the next couple of chapters. That it’ll make it easier when I next sit down to write more of it. I’ve gotten into the habit of writing this one on Saturdays and just can’t seem to write it on any other day, so it is coming along a little slower than I would like.

I also added 2091 words to my urban fantasy today. Earlier in the week I hand wrote four A4 size pages so I don’t know the total word count but it’d be close to 3000.

That’s it from me. How did your writing week go? I’d love to hear from you so don’t be shy.

Happy Writing 🙂
