Writing Quote Wednesday.

‘Your main job is to believe in yourself. Yes, you have to do the actual work as well, but it’s the confidence that will make your work stand out and reach others.

Even if other people are like, “Well, I don’t know if this is going to be your breakout novel or if this is the right time for this kind of novel, etc.”

Doesn’t matter. Believe in your work. Show people it is the right time. Love your work, and others will follow.’
– Season Robbins.

The above was from an interesting article over at Fiction University. Season talks about believing in your writing and it is very inspiring and worth the read. You can check it out HERE.

  1. Oh, I do love this feature of yours, Rochelle. So this is a really wonderful quote, and I think it’s just… well it’s completely brilliant. But that’s not to say it’s always possible to believe in yourself, as a writer or anyone else, or your work, because self doubt can be really crippling and it just isn’t always that easy. This is definitely something to remember, keep in mind, though, and I’m really glad you shared it. The article sounds pretty interesting. Xx

    1. Thanks. Everyone has self-doubt, that’s natural, and you just have to push through it. I can absolutely love my manuscript one day and hate it the next. But it’s important to believe in yourself, if this is your passion, because if you don’t who else will?
