Hey Everyone, thanks for stopping by.
I am a writer. A blogger. A booklover. A wife. A mother. A Christian.
Writing is my dream. Reading is my hobby. I’m trying to stay fit for my mental health and my body – I want to be strong! I’m starting to embrace the minimalist life. I care about the environment.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: I AM NO LONGER REVIEWING FOR PUBLISHERS/AUTHORS, any request will be ignored. Thank you.
Reader Me:
I try and read and review 2 books a week. One international. One Australian. I love books by Australian authors. We have some great writers here and I love telling the world about them. I read mainly YA (all genres). When I do read adult books they are most likely going to be epic fantasy, but I love all speculative fiction and I enjoy contemporary women’s fiction as well. I am not ashamed to say I adore romance, because, c’mon, what’s better than love? ( I am also really starting to get into non-fiction/biographies, mainly Christian.)
UPDATE: I AM NO LONGER TAKING REVIEW REQUEST FROM ANYONE UNLESS YOU ARE AN AUSTRALIAN PUBLISHING COMPANY OR AUTHOR THAT I AM ALREADY DEALING WITH OR HAVE DEALT WITH IN THE PAST. Sorry but I just don’t have the time to take on more review copies as I try and focus more on my own writing. Thank you.
Writer Me:
I’ve been telling stories since I could talk and started writing them down when I was 8. Writing is my life. Writing is important to me, but not the most important thing in my life. I had to learn this the hard way.
I spend most a lot of my time in fantastical worlds with fantastical people, both I have created and those created by others. and there is no other way I’d rather spend my time.
I work hard on making my dreams come true. And I believe in myself, because if I don’t, who else will? I believe things happen in God’s timing, and it will happen then.
You can follow me on Twitter, Tumblr and Goodreads (links in the side bar) if you feel inclined.
Thanks for taking the time to find out a bit about me 🙂
(Update January 2019.)
I believe in you too! Keep writing and who knows, one day others will be able to explore and interact with the fantastical worlds and characters you have so graciously shared.
I believe in dreamers. I believe in stories. And I especially believe in dreaming storytellers that believe in themselves 🙂
thanks for dropping by. Good journey.
So excited to discover your blog! We have a lot in common!
Keep doing what you love, it is the key to happiness. 🙂
Don’t let anyone steal your dream. Keep on writing and working, because it will come true. I’ve been writing for over thirty years, and though it’s hard, I have been blessed with selling some of my work to publishers over these past decades. Never quit, never give up…this is the secret to success in a nutshell.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and spending time reading the stories. I’m following yours, and I’m looking forward to reading more of your work.
Beautifully put.
If more people followed their dreams, the world would probably be a better place. Thanks for following my blog. I’m looking forward to reading yours.
no problem, thanks.
Looks like we have a similar taste in novels… Look fwd to reading your reviews..
Hi Rochelle, I’d like to nominate you for the Liebster Award. Thanks for all your great posts and for sharing your thoughts on my blog. http://highfantasyaddict.wordpress.com/2013/06/21/liebster-award-my-first-award-awesome/
Thanks for the nomination, I really appreciate it, but I have actually been nominated for this award once before so I won’t be doing it again. Thanks for thinking of me and congratulations on your Liebster 🙂
You’re welcome and completely understand – these awards are a bit of a PiTA – kinda like chain letters at school! Please do just accept it as recognition from someone who enjoys your work.
🙂
Fantastical worlds are great, but they can be scary!
True.
Of course, they don’t need to be scary. It depends on the mind!
Yes, some minds are much more terrifying than others. I prefer the less scary, although my mind sometimes comes up with stories more scary than I thought I’d be able to.
Isn’t that the truth! Sometimes we can be shocked by our own mind!
Hi Rochelle, I love reading your posts so I’ve nominated you for The Liebster Award for bloggers. You can check my nomination and how to participate in this award here:

Hi Rochelle,
That’s alright, I understand. Thanks for getting back to me, I find the nomination to be a compliment to your fellow bloggers. I hope you have a wonderful New Year!
Cheers,
Claire
